This policy explains what information CricArmy collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
Who we are
CricArmy ("we", "us", "the app") is a cricket match-scoring and team-management application available at cricarmy.co.in, as an Android app, and via other CricArmy-branded apps. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@cricarmy.co.in.
Information we collect
To use CricArmy, you register with an email address. We collect and store:
- Account information: your display name and email address.
- Cricket data you create: match scores, batting and bowling statistics, team rosters, tournament details, and results — either entered by you or by another registered player who includes you in a match.
- Optional profile details: a profile photo or team logo, if you choose to upload one; your batting and bowling style, if you choose to add it.
- Match venue and streaming links: venue names and, if you add one, a YouTube link for live-streaming a match — both entered manually by the organiser, not collected automatically.
We do not collect payment information, precise device location, or browsing activity outside the app.
How we use this information
- To verify your identity and let you log in, using a one-time code sent to your email.
- To display your stats, match history, and team memberships to you and to other registered players you've played with or against.
- To sync your data across your own devices, so your match history and stats are consistent wherever you log in.
- To publish an aggregate, app-wide leaderboard showing runs, wickets, and other career statistics for registered players.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. CricArmy relies on the following third-party services to operate, each of which processes data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Firestore database and Hosting) — stores account data, match data, and hosts the app itself. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- EmailJS — used solely to deliver the one-time login/verification code to your email address.
Other CricArmy users can see your display name, playing statistics, and team memberships within the app — this is core to how the app works (leaderboards, match scorecards, team rosters).
Your choices and controls
- You can clear locally saved match data on a given device at any time from the Home screen ("Clear saved data").
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing support@cricarmy.co.in.
- Adding a profile photo, team logo, or playing style is entirely optional.
Data retention
We retain your account and match data for as long as your account is active, so your career statistics and match history remain available to you. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal account data, though match records that other players are also part of may be retained in an anonymized or de-identified form to preserve the integrity of shared match history and team statistics.
Children's privacy
CricArmy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@cricarmy.co.in and we will delete it.
Security
We use industry-standard practices provided by Google Firebase to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
